Use Windows Key + Right / Left, followed by Windows Key + Up / Down, to navigate the smaller quadrants. When you snap to the screen's quarters, the list of open windows will not appear until three of the corners are filled.Īll of this is also possible via keyboard shortcuts: To snap an app to the left or right sides of your screen, use Windows Key + Left arrow or Windows Key + Right arrow. You can choose one to fill the corresponding section of the screen. When you use the left or right edge snapping, the second half of the screen displays your other open windows automatically. You'll notice a transparent overlay indicating the window's snapping direction. Left-click a window's title bar and drag it to the window's corners, left or right borders. Essentially, any layout that fits within a 2x2 grid is possible: four-quarter windows, one-half and two-quarter windows, or just two halves.Īll of this is accomplished by dragging windows around the screen.
